Specialty Schnauzers have various medical procedures that I practice with my dogs/puppies.
Puppies
Two weeks after birthing: Panacur – a broad-spectrum antiparasitic medication used to treat common intestinal worms and protozoa is given to the puppies. This application is performed twice more before they join up with you and yours.
Four weeks after birthing: Strongid – a broad-spectrum anthelmintic medication used to treat and control intestinal parasite infections like roundworms, pinworms and strongyles is given to the puppies every month before they depart from the ranch.
Six weeks DAPP: (Distemper, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) Vaccine.
Nine weeks the puppies go to the Animal Medical Centre South for their wellness check and sign-off from one of their Veterinarians.
Breeding Dogs
The same procedure as mentioned above, as well as, they are vaccinated every 3 years for DAPP.
My dogs get their teeth cleaned twice a year with an non-anesthetic teeth cleaning professional.
